Northglenn High School Girls Soccer is one of many wonderful sports programs available at NHS. Our soccer program strives for each student athlete to not only be successful on the field, but in the classroom and within the community. Soccer at Northglenn is an embodiment of hard work, determination, dedication, and all players are encouraged to be leaders within the school and community. Our main goal is to push each player to be their best on and off of the field!

Here is the 2018 schedule for January and February and the optional work out sessions that are available to all girls interested in participating is girls soccer this Spring.
Wednesday's January 10th, 17th, 24th, 31st, Feb. 7th: kick around sessions will be from 1:15-2:30pm outside if weather is appropriate and inside big gym if weather is bad, so please bring indoor and outdoor attire. We will be focusing on ball control, small sided games, tactics, and conditioning on Wednesdays.
Tuesday/Thursday January 16th, 18th, 23rd, 25th, 30th, Feb. 1st, 6th, 8th: these days will be weight room days 3:30-4:30pm in the weight room. I really want as many girls that can make these sessions to come, part of playing soccer is conditioning the body to endure the cold and long season that we will have, so lifting weight is only one aspect that we will be doing in order to get ready for the season!
Camp will be Monday-Thursday February 12th-15th and February 19th-22nd: 3:45-5:30pm outside if weather is appropriate and inside big gym if weather is bad, so please bring indoor and outdoor attire. We are not guaranteed gym space if basketball is still in season, but we will be in building if we cannot be outside.
Official practice is Monday February 26th. You will need to have your sports physical and registration turned into our Athletic Secretary Mrs. Swanson by Thursday February 22nd in order to participate in official practice. If you qualify for free or reduced lunch and have not registered with the school, please go to www.myschoolapps.com (available in English and Spanish). If you don't have access to the online system, paper applications are available in Student Relations (Mrs. Newton). If there is a reason why you cannot register on time, please talk to me so we can communicate this to Mrs. Swanson.

If bad weather and we cannot use the field we will be inside the small gym starting at 4:00pm and will go until 5:45/6pm. So please remember to always bring clothes for both cold weather and inside playing. It is also the season for getting sick, so please do not come to practice if you are sick, go home and feel better!
